As part of the project “Building Palestinian Coherence: Understanding Negotiating Positions and Mapping Current Status of the Negotiation Process,” RO’A Center convened a focus group discussion facilitated by Jubran Said, bringing together 15 senior negotiators and experts.
The discussion reflected on three decades of institutional coordination under the Oslo framework, drawing on firsthand experiences of participants who had served on Joint Committees. Participants examined structural weaknesses in these mechanisms, including the absence of effective dispute-resolution processes and the unequal power dynamics shaping coordination.
The insights and experiences shared during the session contributed directly to the project’s analysis and informed the recommendations developed in its final report.
