RO'A Seminar Day 2: The Viability of the Two-State Solution in the Palestinian Context

RO'A Seminar Day 2: The Viability of the Two-State Solution in the Palestinian Context

As a continuation of the seminar “The Viability of the Two-State Solution in the Palestinian Context,” the second day was dedicated to working with the Why It Worked Conflict Resolution Toolkit (CRT), adapting and reframing it through a participatory process to reflect the Palestinian context. The aim was to ensure that its tools and approaches emerged from lived Palestinian realities rather than being applied as ready-made models.

To move from theory to practice, participants worked on a case study focused on the upcoming Palestinian elections, one of the most prominent issues in the national debate. The exercise tested the toolkit’s effectiveness in analysing a real and complex issue and in developing practical approaches that could be applied in the Palestinian context.

The session brought together representatives of the private sector, research institutions, academics, former ministers, young people, and experts and advisers in negotiation affairs. Through this participatory process, the group worked toward developing tools grounded in the Palestinian context and responsive to its specific challenges.
