Mersat – Cohort 2: RO’A Holds Youth Training on Social Justice, Inequality, and Public Policy

RO’A Center for Political and Strategic Studies held a three-day training on Social Justice, Inequality, and Public Policy from 27–29 August 2026 in Ramallah, facilitated by trainer Maryam Alqam.

The training brought together Palestinian participants from different geographic and social contexts to explore social justice through lived experiences of inequality, exclusion, access, and participation.

Across the three days, participants examined how social inequalities are shaped by cultural norms, institutions, public policies, social structures, and unequal power relations. Through participatory exercises and analytical tools, the training addressed issues including gender, disability, displacement, political participation, access to services, social and economic inequality, and institutional responsibility.

The training also encouraged participants to connect these issues to the broader Palestinian context and to consider how social justice analysis can inform more inclusive approaches to policy, advocacy, and community action.
