From Fragmentation to Cohesion: Five Civil Society-Led Initiatives

From Fragmentation to Cohesion: Five Civil Society-Led Initiatives

As part of the From Fragmentation to Cohesion project, five participating civil society organizations moved from learning and analysis into practice by developing community initiatives rooted in different local needs and contexts.

The participating organizations were Ashtar Theatre, Jerusalem Community Advocacy Network (JCAN), Arab Studies Society, Himaya Association for Protecting Working Women Against Violence and Sexual Abuse, and The Freedom Theatre.

Building on their work with the Problem Analysis Toolkit (Propeller), the organizations used analytical methods to better understand the challenges they address, identify relevant actors, relationships, and influencing factors, and translate this analysis into practical interventions within their communities.

The five initiatives mark a step in moving research and analytical tools beyond the training space and into community practice, enabling civil society organizations to adapt and apply them in ways that strengthen participation, trust, collaboration, and social cohesion.
