Survey Overview
❏ Widespread institutional mistrust: The majority of Palestinians do not feel fully represented by either the PLO or PA. While the PLO retains symbolic significance, it lacks broad legitimacy without inclusive reform. ❏ Youth are disengaged yet aspirational: Young Palestinians express the least confidence in current institutions but demonstrate a clear vision for unity, transparency, and inclusive leadership. They call for systemic reform over symbolic gestures. ❏ Divergent regional attitudes: West Bank residents lean toward symbolic nationalism and prefer the PLO as a unifying body. Gazans, shaped by different political and humanitarian experiences, tend to favor the PA in its current form.
Methodology

Why Quota Sampling in Gaza?
Prior to the war, Gaza, like the West Bank, used to be divided into counting areas by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
The current war, which displaced over 80% of Gaza’s population, disrupted the “natural distribution” based on which counting areas were designed.
Counting areas have become irrelevant, because of the significant change in terms of population density and demographics.
In this context, quota sampling has the highest chance of producing a framework that represents the population in question based on a number of factors that researchers choose. In our case, we used governorate of residence before the war, gender and age.
Once quotas have been decided, enumerators were dispersed to collect responses from 39 areas until each of the quotas is completed.
